About Rudy

Born and raised in Bakersfield, I attended our local schools and grew up in our local neighborhoods. I have seen firsthand the needs in our community.

Upon graduating from UCLA, I worked at the White House on financial matters before following my heart and desire to come back home and work for the community I grew up in. As a counselor with the outreach programs at CSUB, I worked directly with hundreds of students and parents making the dream of college a reality. More recently, I have spent the last five years working on improving the lives of local residents on a variety of issues including fighting against the spreading of sewage sludge in Kern County and and ensuring accountability for programs like the smartmeter. Additionally, I have been instrumental in bringing in millions of dollars to improve the transportation, air quality and educational needs in our area. We need safe neighborhoods, better services and someone who will work tirelessly to get the job done.

Bakersfield is my home. And together, I'm ready to fight for your home and our neighborhood.
